Entry number seven in my "Sailor Moon Poster Project!", and by far the most asked for. Seriously, I had tons of people asking when Mercury would be uploaded.
When looking at Sailor Moon in contention for a Hollywood film franchise, I realized that the series lacks a concrete genre. True it has potential to be action, superhero, sci-fi, fantasy and romance films, but, it occurred to me that the series follows thr formula of a horror movie perfectly. Five unsuspecting girls, thrust into a situation they don't understand, where they are hunted by monsters.
Keeping that concept as a jumping off point, I included as much black as possible in each poster, as well as using the modern city sklyline motif as often as I could.
With the horror movie concept I tried very hard to capture the perfect look of fear, surprise, or apprehension on each of the girls' faces. I succeeded better with some than with others.
I meant to get this up yesterday, but I was quite busy. Sailor Mercury was the one I restarted most. After four tries, I ended up with this one. It's design connects more to Mars', with the circles that didn't make it into any of the others. It's nice, I like it, but it's also one of the top to be redone.
Mercury's tagline is "the GENIUS", because duh.
As with all my other posters, I tried vehemently to avoid fan casting.

Sailor Moon is owned by Naoko Takeuchi and Toei Animation. I do not profit from this. Please support the series.
I really love these things and the thing I'm actually going to mention is really dumb, but I really like it when people make their eyebrows and lashes the same color as their hair. . .
Lol it mostly came from doing Sailor Mars first. She was much more Art Nouveau than the others, and that kind of just carried over to a lesser degree. I'm glad you like them
